Subcontractors

22nd Century Healthcare is committed to transparency and collaboration with our clients. We will not engage subcontractors to provide Assigned Employees without the prior agreement of the client. This ensures that our clients have full visibility and control over the staffing resources utilized.

Floating

Assigned Employees are carefully placed in assignments that align with their job descriptions. Any floating to another department must meet specific criteria, including compatibility with the like department or unit, demonstrated previous competency, and possession of appropriate certifications and credentials. Immediate notification to 22nd Century Healthcare is required if a floating employee is utilized.

Competency Review

22nd Century Healthcare assumes the responsibility for conducting and finalizing pre-employment assessments of the Assigned Employee's competence. This assessment is based on the techniques, procedures, technology, and skills needed to provide care, treatment, and services as outlined during 22nd Century Healthcare's orientation. Clients are encouraged to cooperate in the review or evaluation of each Assigned Employee's ability to perform specific job functions.

Orientation of Employees

We provide comprehensive orientation to our new employees regarding 22nd Century Healthcare's policies and procedures. However, the responsibility for orienting assigned employees to the client's facility, including rules, regulations, dress code, physical layout, and equipment usage, lies with the client. This collaborative approach ensures a seamless integration of our staff into the client's work environment.

Employees and Independent Contractors

As the provider of staffing services, 22nd Century Healthcare maintains the status of the employer for Assigned Employees. While 22nd Century Healthcare reserves the right to use Independent Contractors at its sole discretion, the primary commitment remains to our employees and the highest level of service quality.

Incident and Error Tracking System

In compliance with the Joint Commission's requirements, 22nd Century Healthcare has established a robust incident and error tracking system. This system documents and tracks all unexpected incidents, errors, sentinel events, injuries, and safety hazards related to the care and services provided. The information gathered is shared and reported appropriately to clients, regulatory bodies, and the Joint Commission as required.

Communicating Occupational Safety Hazards/Events

It is the client's responsibility to promptly notify 22nd Century Healthcare within 24 hours of any incidents, competency issues, or complaints related to the Assigned Employee. This open communication ensures a quick and effective resolution of any concerns raised by the client.

Requirements for Staff Specified

The requirements of staff sent to the client by 22nd Century Healthcare are determined by the client as part of the written agreement between the two parties. 22nd Century Healthcare is obligated to comply with the client's specified requirements, including documented competencies, credentials, health screening, and experience, to ensure the safe delivery of care to the population being served.

Staff Matching Requirements

To guarantee the competence and skills of Assigned Employees, 22nd Century Healthcare verifies licensure, certification, education, and work experience. Matching these credentials with the specified requirements of the assignment ensures that clients receive staffing resources with the necessary qualifications and experience.
